I have a Intel WM3945abg adapter that was in an old laptop and i know it works. i installed it and everything boots up fine. but when I go to connect to a network it says that both of my wireless adapters are disabled. In fact, I have no 3D acceleration whatsoever. http://ubuntuforums.org – I have a dual boot : KUbuntu 10.04 and Windows xp. ASROCK motherboard G41M-VS3 and Transcend DDR3 2GB ram. In my previous thread, I posted about the login issues which I had after the motherboard replacement. That problem is solved The present problem is that Kubuntu 10.04 doesn't recognize my Ethernet port where as windows xp does. (Hardware)

But, laptop starts beeping every 30 sec, just minutes after booting into ubuntu. every beep is accompanied by hard disk spin sound. At times, it chirps as well. (Hardware)

Every time I attempt to boot into Ubuntu's kernel with a version higher than 3.2.0-30, my computer takes probably thirty minutes (or more) to boot. If I boot into a previous version of the Linux kernel, I can boot just fine. (HowTos)
