Looking for batch-mode software for left and right trimming 100 imagesview story

http://crunchbanglinux.org – This is a one time project so I am only looking for freeware or non-crippled shareware.I have over 100 screenshot BMP images.  Each is 1280 pixels wide.  I want to trim 267 pixels off the left side of each and 63 pixels off the right side.  The resulting images would be 950 pixels wide. This would be a tedious process manually but should be simple with the right image software (comma (HowTos)

Screen resolution must be selected at every rebootview story

http://forums.opensuse.org – I am using a Lenovo T500 Thinkpad with 1680x1050 display. Most of the time I do not use the built-in Lenovo display, I use an external 1920x1200 display instead. Every time I reboot, I have to use Configure Desktop > Display to change the resolution from pre-selected 1680x1050 to 1920x1200 (Auto). See image below. What can I do to avoid having to do this at every restart? (Distributions)

[ubuntu] Bug? No network w/ VirtualBox windows host, ubuntu guest after today's upgradeview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – I have VirtualBox version 3.2.8.r64453 running on Windows XP SP3. Installed as a guest is Ubuntu 10.04, which was installed a few days ago and I let the update manager fully update after the install. I then installed guest additions, and haven't had any problems. Although the last couple of days Update Manager has done "partial updates" due to an external package changing some files. (HowTos)
