Is it possible to share DFS root through WebDAV via IIS in case of IIS is not on DFS server?view story

http://serverfault.com – Is it possible to share DFS root (not DFS subfolders individually) through WebDAV via IIS in case of IIS is not on DFS server, using NTLM authentication. Is there any Best-Practices? Should I share it as a website root (in this case I get problems with saving web.config file) or as a virtual directory (In this case I have no access to https://server.example.com/DFS through WebDav)? New to IIS (HowTos)

Accessing Localhost from Hyper-V VMview story

http://superuser.com – I currently have a PC running Visual Studio/IIS Express and I need to do some IE8 testing, which requires me to run a Hyper-V VM. When I go into the Hyper-V VM, I can't seem to go to reach http://localhost:portnumber. I guess I need to set up hosts for localhost, but I also can't seem to reach the IP address of the main PC either. Can someone suggest some steps to follow to solve this? Thanks. (HowTos)

Detecting cause of high in-bound network trafficview story

http://superuser.com – One of our Windows/Coldfusion/IIS webservers has been experiencing a very odd pattern of high inbound network traffic. In the picture above the red hum is out-bound traffic, and the yellow line is in-bound network traffic. It's very usual for a webserver which is sending out hundreds of requests per second of image and webpage data for the inbound traffic to be spiking that high. (HowTos)

I think that isolated FTP Sites are better, my worry is (HowTos)

http://serverfault.com – I have an asp.net mvc website hosted on IIS 7, Windows Server 2008, on Amazon server I think. SSL certificate is set up and when browsing from the server everything works fine(except for the warning stating that the ssl is not registered for the domain(think that is because I was browsing using IP address instead of actual host name)). But publicly only http works. (HowTos)
