Can a system update kill volume?view story

http://forums.androidcentral.com – I have a HP slate 7 (I know, please don't say it). Receiving a Google system update a couple of days ago*, I updated. Since that day the maximum volume seems to have been lowered and is now virtually inaudible outdoors. Is the update the cause? Are there any other suggestions? I didn't (knowingly) download or update anything else. (HowTos)

Video playback is not as good as on Ubuntuview story

http://crunchbang.org – Hi,Hey, first timer here at Crunchbang Linux.I really got fond of the paradigms of this distribution. The default setup is just uncomparable to an 'Ubuntu + Openbox' combination. So kudos to the developers, I really liked what I've seen so far.However...I am not able to play videos with resolution >= 720p (~10-15 FPS, CPU@100%). I've tried out SMplayer and VLC. (HowTos)
