What happened to my contributions?view story

http://forums.opensuse.org – First, I would like congratulate openSuSE development team for working in 11.3. Big thank you for you guys out there! :) Second, a few days ago I got a notification email about change on several pages that I watch, but link from all the notification is broken. I know there is a migration to wiki.opensuse.org, does that mean all en.opensuse.org page also being renamed/moved too? (Distributions)

Gnome very slow and accessing HDD constantlyview story

http://www.linuxquestions.org – Hi. I just got a fresh Debian squeeze install done on an older laptop. I used a lenny CD to get the machine running and it died half way through the installation. I fixed it and got gnome to run just fine as root. After that, I upgraded to squeeze and now the machine runs too slow to do anything with when gnome starts. It just sits with the HDD access flickering constantly. (HowTos)

After upgrade network does not work start and X server insists on using framebufferview story

http://forums.opensuse.org – I upgraded to 11.3. When I start the machine, the network (and all network based services) don't start correctly. X server insists on using framebuffer. After I manually restart the services, everything works just fine (including X server). Its a fully supported notebook (HP Compaq 6710b). I have no idea how to troubleshoot this. (Distributions)
