http://ubuntuforums.org – I got a NetGear wireless router recently. Attached it to my Huawei (pardon the spelling) modem. I have a HP 540 laptop running Ubuntu 10.04 (love it absolutely!) The wireless gets connected. But there's an exclamation mark almost all the time. Very frequently these days, the connection gets bogged down or websites just don't open at all. (HowTos)

[ubuntu] Unstable Wired Connectionview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – It seems that my internet connection is very unstable in ubuntu. In Windows it's fine, but in ubuntu, the connection seems to drop often at random times as I'm surfing the web. It drops for about 15-20 seconds before reconnecting. I also get this connection drop immediately after opening Google Chrome, almost every time. I'm running ubuntu on a Core 2 Quad PC, so the OS itself is zippy. (HowTos)

Flash drive is suddenly read-only.view story

http://crunchbanglinux.org – I'm not sure what happened, but when I plugged in my flash drive this morning (4gb, HP brand), I deleted some files from it and tried to move another to it. Halfway through the copy/paste process, I would get an I/O Error and the transfer wouldn't  finish. So I ejected and re-mounted the flash drive and now it's read-only. Any idea what happened?
