[ubuntu] Can't scan with HP 5180 and XSANEview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Just installed Ubuntu 9.10 and having tried many previous releases I can say that I was very impressed! I was very impressed when my HP printer/scanner which is networked was detected OK and printing is no problem. However my happy mood was dashed when I opened XSANE and was told no devices were found. The HP site says that 5100 devices should print and scan over a network with Ubuntu 9.10. (Hardware)

[all variants] Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 6000 Layoutview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – I recently purchased a Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 6000 to make working with my Ubuntu 9.10 machine easier. The keyboard fired right up and works well with the Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 7000 layout except for some of the buttons that X does not recognize. The layout of the 7000 is nearly identical except the 6000 has buttons for zoom, 5 customer buttons, and Areo Flip. (Hardware)
