http://ubuntuforums.org – Hi All I am using a computer having core 2 quad processor and 4 GB memory and I have installed hardy. Now I am facing a non-trivial problem that when I try to run some programs, the computer works for some time and then reboot automatically. This happens when my program uses ~ 100% cpu. Switched graphics cards and got ati working by installing drivers from their website. My BIOS setup does not show anything related to RAID, I've checked every entry, every option, yet the 9.10 installer "sees" RAID. So, is my hardware physically set up as RAID? How can I check? I've tried several distributions and Knoppix boots right up into 1024x768 but none of the ubuntu versions will go there after the install. I was wondering if there was some way to copy the knoppix settings to xubuntu and make it work at the higher resolution. (Hardware)
