[CentOS] grub color on C6 (not)view story

http://centos.1050465.n5.nabble.com – I have tried more than half a dozen different combinations of the "color" command in my grub.conf file, and see nothing but black and white. Is there * a problem with the Centos grub command? * a problem with grub figuring out how to do color on my hardware? * a true-false day, when everything is either true or false, no in between grays, and no color? scratching my head, Ted Miller El (HowTos)

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hello, I'm new to Ubuntu. After installing the Ubuntu LTS from a LiveUSB, only the GRUB Minimal Bash-like is showing on start up. I've created separate partitions for Ubuntu as stated by a guide. I've googled the problem but it seems like it's a case-to-case basis since each of the users are posting the results of their bootinfoscript. (Hardware)

GRUB/MBT-->GPT partitioning on BIOS-based Motherboardview story

https://bbs.archlinux.org – Windows determines how it should boot by how it is partitions.  Though I think this is an incredibly silly way to do it, if it is MBR/ms-dos partitioned, then it will boot with the legacy bios.  If it is GPT, then it thinks it is UEFI.  So if your mobo doesn't have UEFI, then you will have to use MBR/ms-dos partitioning.
