Installation from DVD of 13.10 starts, then stops. Help is requestedview story

http://askubuntu.com – I had to re-install Ubuntu from scratch. It has 13.04 (I had a heck of a time getting 13.04 installed) but won't run all the programs I want, so I decided to upgrade to 13.10. Troubles.... Not upgrade, but install. I downloaded the 64 bit version for my desktop. Burned it, and all was ok. I then booted from the dvd, and got the graphical interface for the installation. Can't install GRUB. Dual Booting Kali Linux with Windows 7. Two different HDDview story

http://unix.stackexchange.com – I'm having trouble installing Kali on a MSI GE70 2OE with a SSD HD and a standard SATA HD. I've installed W7 on the SSD, and then partitioned my SATA in two parts: One 800Gb for W7 and another 200Gb of empty space to install Kali. There's as well 2Gb occupied by a FreeDos installation on my SATA that I've left just in case. (HowTos)

Incorrect UUIDsview story

https://bbs.archlinux.org – After taking a break from Arch to experiment with Slackware, I decided that--while I did enjoy Slack--I missed Arch too much and wanted to return. Since it's been awhile I see some things have changed. The installation process seems mostly the same as when I had stopped, but it doesn't want to go as smoothly as it used to for me. (HowTos)
