Gnome 3 failing on Lenovo Thinkpad X61view story

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – Hey everybody, I'm running Fedora 16 on a Lenovo Thinkpad X61. Gnome 3 has been working just fine for months, but crashed out on me all of a sudden just a little while ago. Rebooted in fallback mode. This happened before with this computer while running Ubuntu. I recently installed GIMP and a bunch of dependencies, which is the only think I can think of that would have caused this. (HowTos)

Can I launch a native app from a Wine app?view story

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – Hi all, I use BreezeBrowser, a MS Windows image browser running under Wine (I can't find a native image browser that I like). This app allows you to set an external editor. Is it possible that I launch THE GIMP from BreezeBrowser? What would be the command? gimp or /bin/gimp won't work. Is this possible at all? Thanks in advance, Humberto (HowTos)

https://bbs.archlinux.org – Grinch wrote:That said, while Gimp is great and an amazing achievement given it's meagre development resources, obviously it can't realistically compete with Photoshop which is developed by 20-30 full-time programmers who are likely handpicked for their expertize.Very true and well put. graysky https://bbs.archlinux.org/profile.php?id=21060 2012-07-07T14:26:26Z (HowTos)

Hey there!view story

http://crunchbanglinux.org – Hi! I've only been using #! for a day now, but I've been using *NIX for many years, all the way back to Debian 2... I used Ubuntu for a few releases, but while their new "Unity" DE is much better than Gnome 3, it's just not for me, and I moved back to Debian stable. (HowTos)
