Yay #! !!!view story

http://crunchbanglinux.org – So I have been around the block when it comes to Linux Distros. I have tried everything from Fedora, to Gentoo, to Ubuntu. I have been a pretty faithful Ubuntu user for a couple of years now, it is still what I run my servers on. But I HATE Unity, don't get my wrong, Unity is not horrible for everyone, just me.  I was happy with Gnome2, but I just don't like the new DMs. (HowTos)

[solved]need vim adviceview story

http://crunchbanglinux.org – So I want to learn vim, and since I'm using gentoo at the moment, I have to build vim before I can use it, and that means I get to select the build options. Here are the available flags:I am inclined to accept the defaults (the options in blue) and I might want the vimpager option, but I'd appreciate opinions from other vim users. (HowTos)

Resize/Delete or Rebuild RAID1 without Data Lossview story

http://askubuntu.com – Let me explain my situation. I purchased a D-LINK DNS-325 NAS. It set up software RAID1 using two HDDs. I just dumped it and installed the two drives in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Mounted the drives just fine using MDADM. All my data is there and the drives are formatted in EXT3; no problems there. But the D-LINK built a couple of small partitions (a swap and a 500 MB section to house some FTP tools). (HowTos)

Automount in Xfce4 just stopped workingview story

http://unix.stackexchange.com – A little while ago my usb drives stopped auto mounting. It might have been after an update but not sure where to look. I have been manually mounting them as root and that is a pain. Is there maybe even something better that I can have more control over the mounting? (HowTos)
