Backup problemview story

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – For many years I have used a simple scheduled script on an old XP box to back up my data folders on various linux flavours using a mapped drive over samba. But lately the larger and more complex of these folders wont back up. Xcopy returns the message; 'Source dirctory may be changing. Xcopy may not be able to copy all files or directories within that directory. (HowTos)

Difference between /storage/emulated/0/ and /storage/emulated/legacy/?view story

http://android.stackexchange.com – I've recently went from stock Jelly Bean to CyanogenMod 11 (KitKat), and I've noticed that the internal SD card paths are completely different. I now have /storage/emulated/ containing two folders with identical contents, 0 and legacy, neither of which show as symlinks under their properties. (HowTos)

GTK3 media players do not show folders before files in KDEview story

http://www.linuxquestions.org – For a few days I've been looking for an alternative to Audacious because it mixes folders and files instead of listing folders first in KDE. Now trying DeadBeef I just noticed that the problem is not Audacious but GTK3. Do you know what is the reason and whether it has a fix? (HowTos)

Start several fish shells in different directories?view story

http://unix.stackexchange.com – In order to be able to launch my work environment with a single command, I want to start several urxvt windows running fish shell in different folders. However, I found no obvious way of having fish run a startup command (e.g. a cd) and not exit afterwards. Has anyone figured out how to do start fish in a particular directory without making it a default in config.fish? (HowTos)

How to tell where a website is running from on a server to back it upview story

http://www.linuxquestions.org – I have a server that hosts a couple websites (a wiki and some other non-wiki internally created stuff) that uses a MySQL database running on that server. The server has a hardware problem (like I'm afraid to restart it again) so I want to backup the MySQL databases (which I think I figured out how to do through webmin) and the website itself. (HowTos)
