I could specify the coordinates but this is prone to errors when things change. I found an email exchange that suggested using dummy hosts as parents. It did not however suggest how to do this. First, I thought it might have been my fault, maybe accidentally deleting the files. Later, I noticed that this especially happened after file transfers but other times, random files disappear. Email this pagehttp://forums.fedoraforum.org – I don't know if this was a one-time fluke, or a larger problem, but after a recent update in Fedora 16, gtk based apps stopped being able to load images for me. Logging into gnome3 would give a blank blue desktop, no icons would appear, gtk based apps (e.g. inkscape) would be unable to open images, and disk utility would crash. (HowTos)
