Issues with Xfburnview story

http://crunchbanglinux.org – I'm trying to burn an audio CD from a set of MP3s. Once I "Proceed to Burn," the cd initializes, writes the pregap and then goes to it. However, after about 30 seconds, the process quits on me and the disk write fails. Now I've ruined a handful of CDs trying to adjust parameters and such and try again... not working. Please, someone help? (HowTos)

Longtime Slack user; occasional excursions into Ubuntu and the like, but I quickly come to my senses and return to more granular environs. Only exception is Xandros on a eeePC, which frankly doesn't have the disk space to allow too much experimentation. (HowTos)
