I did a botched attempt of installing Octave 3.6, at that time I was connected via Ethernet. I postponed that installation till later, but when I went home and tried to connect to a wireless network realized that Ubuntu is not detecting the wireless adaptor..the blue light did not come up even after toggling hardware key. I use it to keep a lot of documents (and pictures) on... I have kept it backed up via an external HD (Western Digital 1TB 2.5” drive). Recently, it quit being able to copy all the folders to the external drive. Then external drive appeared to become corrupted. (HowTos)
