I have noticed that the transfer rates on Windows 7 to a blank hard disk is close to 80MB/s (sustained) whereas the same copy job maxes out at 50MB/s on Ubuntu - Karmic or Lucid. http://www.ubuntuhcl.org – This laptop does not work with ubuntu. The graphics adapter is not supported by any linux distro that i know of. the only way to get it to work is by using safe graphics mode. lucid lynx is said to have a fix, but compiz still does not work. (Hardware)
