Untangling the Linux Graphics Stack.view story

http://linuxlandit.blogspot.com – This is an introductory overview post for the Linux Graphics Stack, and how it currently all fits together. I initially wrote it for myself after having conversations with people like Owen Taylor, Ray Strode and Adam Jackson about this stack. I had to go back to them every month or so and learn the stuff from the ground up all over again, as I had forgotten every single piece. (HowTos)

JavaScript Web Apps and CPU / RAM usageview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – There was this Ubuntu App Showdown, and there were applications posted that were made with JavaScript + HTML + CSS, so web apps, which were put into a WebKit window made with Python. In the discussion about the applications I saw some people complaining that the apps can have a pretty big CPU and RAM usage if I remember right(even the small lightweight applications). Is this true and what can be (Hardware)

xfce Firefoxview story

https://bbs.archlinux.org – It should be in /home/<youruser>/.mozilla/firefox/<profile>/chrome/userContent.cssAlthough it could be that the chrome directory (and hence the userContent.css file) don't exist yet on your system. In that case, simply create them. Gcool https://bbs.archlinux.org/profile.php?id=51415 2012-07-20T09:36:58Z (HowTos)

Can't set margin-top on main content DIVview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hi all :) I have a page, and it has a floating (fixed) nav bar at the top, which fades to 0.1% opacity when not in use. The nav bar sits at the VERY TOP of the page, but I cannot get the main DIV to have a 50-100px margin between the bottom of the nav bar, and where the main DIV starts; at the moment, the nav bar is ACROSS the main DIV, and not separated by a neat space. Any ideas? (Hardware)

Creating Custom Short cut Keys Ubuntu 12.04view story

http://askubuntu.com – I used to have my own shortcut keys to minify all the CSS and JS files for my websites after I saved the original larger version of the file. But that was on Ubuntu 11.04 and now I cannot figure out for the life of me to get the Alt + Shift + E to run my command. Anyone know what files to edit or what options screens to go through to complete this? Thanks in advance! (HowTos)

New webgui for Ubuntu Serverview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – I think I'm going to be criticized about it, anyway I am developing a simple webgui to the Ubuntu Server. Yes, I know that it already has a lot of webgui available and ready to install, but I have some free time and I like to develop. I have made simple requirements to this: Ease to Use Look and feel like native Ubuntu product (That's why it looks like Ubuntu website) Accept plugins Strong (Hardware)
