Xfdesktop file/launcher icons missingview story

http://crunchbanglinux.org – I installed #! at a friends computer. He wanted launcher icons on the desktop, so i installed xfdesktop4. But in xfdesktop-settings the only options for icons are: 'None' and 'Minimized Application Icons'.  The third option: 'file/launcher icons' is missing. Viruses and the Master Boot Recordview story

I have not yet been able to remove the virus from the WindowsXP "side". I am thinking of deleting the NTFS partition and have the computer fully dedicated to UBUNTU. (HowTos)

sudo problem with no passwordview story

http://www.linuxquestions.org – I have a problem when trying to use the sudo command on my mac. The account has no password which I believe is the problem. I don't plan on setting a password because it is my parents computer and they don't like using a password for the computer only they use.
