[all variants] Two questions about compizview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – 1. Does compiz still have problems working with fullscreen OpenGL apps? ie, if I try to play OpenArena will I still have problems? I remember that this was an issue a few years ago. 2. Is there a way that I can get compiz to look like fluxbox? Thanks folks! (Hardware)

[64 bit] Ubuntu Sapphire HD6670view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – I just installed Ubuntu 10.04 64 Bit on my friend's PC and he has an ATI Sapphire HD6670 Graphics Card. I installed the AMD Propietary drivers to the system and on the bottom right of the computer screen it now has a square box that says AMD Unsupported Hardware. The box does not show up on a screenshot so I cannot attach a screenshot as well. Does anyone know what would cause this? (Hardware)

http://ubuntuforums.org – So I finally did it -- my first Arch install. No I didn't abandon Ubuntu -- far from it -- I just wanted to see how the other side lives in a "more advanced distro". Here are my general impressions for any one else considering a similar experiment Arch -- it can be complicated. I've used Ubuntu for a long time - 5 or more years and really like the command line. How do I reinstall Compiz?view story

http://askubuntu.com – Recently, I installed Ubuntu 12.10 on an old IBM computer, but when trying to log in, there is no Unity launcher, top bar, etc. If I wait around a minute or so, a message box appears that says "The application Compiz has stopped unexpectedly" or something along those lines. I can use the terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) and have tried using CCSM and everything looks normal. (HowTos)

And all went well until I booted it up the first time and it said that the Compiz thing was missing and I looked that up on the internet and I must have typed 20 different codes into terminal, and nothing seemed to work. How can I debug Compiz crashing when I log in?view story

http://askubuntu.com – I have tried to install Ubuntu 12.10 on my Dell Dimension 3000. I have been able to use Lubuntu in the past without any major snags, but after a successful installation of Ubuntu and logging on, I received error messages, one namely stating that Compiz had crashed. Be advised, Debian is more my speed, so I am a noob to Ubuntu. (HowTos)
