Clearing all private user data from Chrome from the command lineview story

http://askubuntu.com – After a cross-country move, I no longer physical access to a certain computer running Ubuntu 12.04, but I do have ssh access. I never plan on using Chrome on that computer again, and I would like to clear my cookies, history, cache, and all other private data on that computer from the command line. I was surprised that I couldn't find any google hits on this topic. (HowTos)

Why Chrome history is showing files not opened with the browserview story

http://superuser.com – I was looking through my history and noticed quite a lot of file:// entries listed. The majority of them were not downloaded files and opened using different programs. For instance: videos that I watched with MPC, text files viewed with notepad, pictures opened with Fireworks are all listed in my history. I'm not sure what to make of it and seems invasive. But at the same time, Firefox is doing EVERYTHING to make me want to switch. - Google+ loads slow as hell? Loading a page for example on my 2008 MacBook Pro (with an SSD drive) takes 30 seconds. It locks up for a solid 30 seconds before loading the site. (Hardware)
