War log: Analyzing AT&T access pointsview story

http://www.backtrack-linux.org – Seems overnight I've found dozens of new APs in the area, all broadcasting the SSID ATT###, where ### is a 3-digit number. They all employ WPA2/CCMP encryption. My office manager also received one of these units from AT&T. I've known AT&T to employ horrible security on their default configs, notoriously shipping 2Wire modems with WEP up until just recently. Recommended wireless usb adaptersview story

http://www.backtrack-linux.org – Hello, Can anyone recommend a usb wireless card for completing the wifu training course. The wireless adapter Netgear WN111v2 USB I haven't been able to find, and on netgear's website they don't advertise that one anymore. I could purchase another usb adapter but I am concerned that they might not support injection or monitor mode. I will be running backtrack as a guest OS in virtualbo (HowTos)

Cannot connect to wireless but can see themview story

http://www.backtrack-linux.org – Hello, I have searched and could not find anything to fix this for me so I thought about coming to the experts. My wireless works fine in Ubuntu 11.10 but not in BT5 R2. I can see my wireless in Wicd and I place the password within it as WPA. It acts like it is going to connect and gets stuck at Validating Authentication. (HowTos)

Issues getting Hamster / Ferret to work properlyview story

http://www.backtrack-linux.org – I've been messing around with Hamster and Ferret lately and have gotten it to work on BT5R2 x64 to the extent that it will sniff packets and find targets and not kick back mon0 like it does out of the box (I used the fix on these forums that allows the apps to work on x64 opposed to simply x32) but now I am posed with several other issues: -no matter what I seem to do with iwconfig or airmon-ng (HowTos)
