[ubuntu] encrypted partitionview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – I have an encrypted partition contained in my swap space and would like an idea on how to reproduce it for myself. I just do not understand why its a gnome virtual filesystem and it reads in the "parted" utility as ms-dos format. Could it be a network boot since I am denied permission to it? (Hardware)
