https://bbs.archlinux.org – Finally with the 3.2 kernel released the touchpad on my Samsung 7 series 700z5a is recognized as a synaptics capable device. Xinput reports it as ETPS/2 Elantech Touchpad. I'm really happy about this! There is though some problems with the default configuration of synaptics, I have been playing around with them for a bit now and would like to share my findings. https://bbs.archlinux.org – Strangely, the problem is solved after I have cleared the cache with 'pacman -Sc' command, though it is not recommended normally as per the wiki. After clearing the cache, when I ran 'pacman -Syuu' again, that time it even showed me that I need to download around 68MB and finished successfully. (HowTos)

The problem is that kmix starts before pulseaudio does, so kmix only have access to primary volume control.KDE4 startup applications are stored in /usr/share/autostart, /etc/xdg/autostart and ~/.kde4/Autostart. The first directory contains the system programs that must be loaded, and the second and third directories contains user applications. (HowTos)
