Awesome wm default terminal issuesview story

https://bbs.archlinux.org – The manual is run by default with:terminal -e man awesomesimilar edit config:terminal -e EDITOR ~/.config/awesome/rc.luaMy wild guess is, terminator wants one command string, not a command with arguments. So try to quote the command line, e.g.: { "manual", terminal .. " -e 'man awesome'" },Looking at the manpage[1] there seems to be -x too. (HowTos)

Can't start Xview story

https://bbs.archlinux.org – karol wrote:cfr wrote:What's in ~/.xinitrc? It looks as if X is starting just fine but that you've not asked it to do anything. So it does nothing successfully.I think in this case /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc is run.Thanks. I realised after I posted it that the OP said they had no ~/.xinitrc - hence the edit. (HowTos)

Bspwm config script as autostart?view story

https://bbs.archlinux.org – sxhkd, like xbindkeys, can be used across different WMs so it makes sense that users may prefer having it in .xinitrc. anonymous_user https://bbs.archlinux.org/profile.php?id=28548 2013-09-15T00:04:08Z (HowTos)

Dual Boot+UEFI woesview story

https://bbs.archlinux.org – So I attempted to install arch after win8, made some mistakes, and nuked a lot of files. Luckily, those files were worthless. What I want to do at this point in time is get either dual or single boot, and use UEFI. Since my motherboard supports UEFI, there seems to be no reason not to try and use it, especially if I want to dual boot. (HowTos)
