https://bbs.archlinux.org – Running the old Acer Aspire One (AOA150) and having the same problem. Just upgraded my system after a long while without any problems except the fan's running continuously despite temperatures being well below threshold. The kernel version here's 3.7.9 now with no change, apparently. I've tweaked the module options and reloaded it many times without effect. (HowTos)

https://bbs.archlinux.org – Tried: ACPI=noirq" (made no difference)Tried:rmmod nvidiamodprobe nvidiastartx(Didnt start up)Tried uninstalling nvidia & installing nouveau instead.:Didn't boot & startup hanged - had to add nomodeset in order to get to the commandline.
