[ubuntu] Does Ubuntu Server block ICMP by default?view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Installed Ubuntu Server 10.10, included Apache, PHP, and OpenSSH. Apache is up and serving pages, I can connect using PuTTY no problem. Server responds to a ping. However, attempting to use ping or traceroute from the server results in a Destination Unreachable. Happens even for other 192.168.1.10x boxes on the local network. Any ideas why? Thanks, Tom (HowTos)

PCI Compliance problem. Domain & SLL Certifacate Resolve to server Port 8443view story

http://www.linuxquestions.org – I'm new to this so please go easy on me. I cant pass a PCI compliance scan. Could someone tell me what's happening, if this is even a Plesk issue, or an Apache issue? I guess what's happening is my domain with an IP of it's own & SSL certificate of its own, resolve to my servers IP so I fail the scan. (HowTos)

[ubuntu] Intermittent access to Apache 2.2 serverview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – I've got Apache 2.2 running on a desktop within my LAN, and the other computers in that LAN can't see the server unless I ping them from the server first. When I do this, the other computers can browse the server without any problems. If the client closes the connection (i.e. exits browser) and then tries reconnecting to the server after 5-10 minutes, the problem repeats itself. (HowTos)
