http://askubuntu.com – I have a 2.2 GHz i7, 4GB MacBook Pro 8.3, AMD Radeon HD 6750M 1024 MB, Early 2011. As far as I see I have two options, running Ubuntu on this hardware: VMWare/Virtualbox and Ubuntu in a VM, I already ordered a 16G RAM upgrade for this. Wipe OSX and go Ubuntu native, with 16G RAM, yay ! I'm kinda leaning towards option 2 as I tend to spend 90% of my time in dev VM's at work anyway. (HowTos)

The AMD catalyst does not let me to change anything for dual monitor setup. I tried to change /.config/monitors.xml file but I get the error requierd virtual size does not fit. Is it possible to install open source driver for FireGL V7600? (I am not sure this will solve the problem). (HowTos)

On attempting to install it has a fatal error when the slideshow starts up and drops back to the desktop to allow me to investigate but leaves no clues at at all. How can investigate further? Here is the problem: I apparently do not have 32bit libraries installed on F17 64bit version. And was not able to do so. I have Ati HD 4300 graphics card meaning I need to use kernel 3.4 and 12.6 legacy proprietary drivers (otherwise the battery on the laptop drains twice as fast). All is working nicely. (HowTos)

I can load windows onto the disk fine, it formats the drive, then when it goes to restart to boot from the disk, i get a bluescreen(related to video drivers) and i i take out a stick of ram, any stick, it will boot up fine and finish the install.
