so I compiled a kernel today...view story

http://crunchbanglinux.org – Well I have been using Linux since 2000 and this is the first time I ever have actually compiled a (self) customized kernel. To be honest there was never much of a point before, but my netbook's Intel Atom n270 mediocre performance finally made me decide it was worth trying and I figured since I am replacing Mint 7 with Gentoo on it I might as well try something different. http://forums.opensuse.org – Updating Suse 11.1 to Kernel 2.6.27.48... and then updating alsa-driver-kmp (from multimedia:/audio:KMP/openSUSE_11.1_Update) completely broke my sound system. has pulseaudio changed in 11.3????view story

http://forums.opensuse.org – Hi everyone. Pulse worked for me perfectly (in my old machine, and in the new one) for 2 years or so till now. But just after the upgrade fron opensuse 11.2 to 11.3, it has started to behave strabgeky sometimes.... It was a zypper dup upgrade (worked like a charm from 11.1 to 11.2!). And I dind't touch the configuration (and was working perfectly before). (Distributions)
