Why do I get HTTP Error 504: Gateway Timeout on accessing public IP over Androidview story

http://serverfault.com – Question: When I start a webserver on my machine (on port 80), and then try to access it via my public IP, I get HTTP error 504 (Gateway Timeout). Why ? This only happens when I am connected to the internet via Android. When I connect via normal ADSL, everything works fine. Is there any way to enable this ? If Android was a router, I'd say I need to port-forward. But it's strange I get HTTP 50 (HowTos)

BitTorrent ration - how does it work?view story

http://www.linuxquestions.org – Hi, when I just purged and reinstalled my Torrent client due to configuration issues, the program still knew what U/D ratio I had before purging. Also, I read that individual trackers also keep a record of a user's history, which seems likely as my client takes some time to report it to them when closing. Thus, I am wondering how this statistic is kept. (HowTos)

ADSL modem/router firewall blocking legitimate traffic?view story

http://www.linuxquestions.org – Hello :-) Why might an ADSL modem/router block packets originating from the LAN? I used http://www.whatsmyip.org/ports/ to test 1194 port forwarding on my router. UDP 1194 is the default OpenVPN port; the server running OpenVPN was shut down. The test was expected to show that port 1194 was open but it timed out. (HowTos)
