Dual boot problems with slack and xpview story

I decided to install slackware 13.1 and did so via the 13.1 iso dvd. While going through the install process I made a usb boot stick. When I tried to install lilo to the mbr it came back with an error and said it hadn't installed. (HowTos)

I've been encouraging others to do so, also, and.just got my girlfriend to install Linux Mint 9 (based off Ubuntu 10.04) on her new netbook. Unfortunately, I'm having some trouble getting the wireless to work. That is, the wireless was working for a while, but recently stopped and I can't figure out why (or how to fix it). http://ubuntuforums.org – I have removed Network Manager Gnome from my Ubuntu which is a virtual machine(Guest OS),I see the internet is no more running inside this Virtual Machine. While in other Virtual Machines (Other Linux) I had not removed Network Manager Gnome and I see internet is running fine in them. I am able to do an ssh into the vm in question irrespective of the fact that it is not having any entry in /etc/n (HowTos)
