Android tether/hotspot - redirecting all requests to a webserver after IP is allocated, how?view story

http://android.stackexchange.com – I've set my phone (Kitkat 4.4.2 (18.3.C.0.37)) to set up a wifi-hotspot using the stock software. There's a simple http webserver on the phone @ I can connect to the webserver from a machine that's logged into the hotspot. What I'd like to do is make -all- requests to the hotspot goto 1 webpage that's hosted on the phone instead of having to type the i.p. (HowTos)

Poor Internet Performance On Server Configured For NATview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – This may not actually matter but I thought I'd post anyway to see if anyone had any comments or suggestions. I have an instance of Ubuntu Server set to be a NAT gateway for my home network. I have the iptables all set up. Internet performance is fine on on any client computer hooked to the network. Internet performance is really poor on the gateway itself. (Hardware)

Can I access a device connected to my wifi ap programmatically? [on hold]view story

http://android.stackexchange.com – My application will turn off the existing wifi connection and create a new wifi access point using some examples that I have found online. I can't seem to determine if I can access a device that is connected to the hotspot. Ideally, my application after starting the ap will scan for a device to connect to it (a custom embedded system).
