WenQuanYi is a open-source font project which creating high-quality open-source bitmap and outline fonts for all CJK (Chinese/Japanese/Korean) characters.

Zen Hei is one of WenQuanYi's free fonts.Though the Zen Hei font is mainly for CJK characters, I think it is not bad for English as well:~
