ZTE Merit help please.

http://androidforums.com – Help please. When I make a call I lose the dial screen. I can not use the center button to return to the screen. It makes a sort of vibrate when some one I call answers and the dial screen is gone. Therefore when I make a call and need to use the dial pad for a menu it is unavailable and I can not do anything except push the button at the top to turn it off. (General)

Hi all,

My first post here. Just got a galaxy 2s set it up and all was working well for about 12 hours. Made my first phone call ended it then when I came to use it again the screen was stuck on the dial pad saying emergency calls only. I press the home button but it wont leave the dial screen, same if I press the back button.

I have a Galaxy S2...I don't like the dialer because it defaults to the keypad vs. the call log and even when I click on the call log, I have to then select that and then again to dial so basically 4 clicks to make a call. (plus I HATE having duplicates in my call log so I'm still searching for a dialer).

However, if I actually found one, the factory one would still be on there.

My only issue with the S3 is no flash button. If Im in a conference call and one of the parties disconnects, I have to hang up on the remaining party to call someone else to get into the party. On my EVO I could just hit the flash button to get dial tone and make a call to merge. Am I missing something or is it just not possible on this phone? Ive searched everywhere with no success.

If I'm on a phone call on my S4 I often navigate out of the call screen (where it shows you the call time, etc) to multitask and do other things while on a call.

Is there any way of changing (or an application) that would allow me to set the proximity sensor to work faster ? Whenever I make a call and need to dial some extension number (i.e. when calling to a hostpital) the screen is already off and I need to wait 3-4 sec for the screen to light up.

when i was using HC stock rom 3.0 i was able to call the factory menu

after i update to latest JB 4.0.4 , it does not work , ,by to dial calculator “(+32286798378+”, but no any dial window come out.

anyone know how to call up the factory menu in JB ?

I found the option to turn off the water droplet sounding dial tone with now issue. However, I still have a dial tone issue.

I use my S3 for work related calls, including bridge calls. I dial a phone number (usually 1-800, etc) and I connect to the conference calling center, then I dial a pass code to join a specific conference/bridge.

I know it was very simple to do it but I come across a very strange issue. I have to call Police in danger Situation by just tapping a button.

So my phone got pretty wet recently (over a week ago). It seemed to work OK immediately afterwards but the past 2 days its been acting up. As of right now, I cant answer or make any calls. I can see calls come in but when I slide the icon to answer it, it locks up and reboots almost instantly. It only does it when I go to answer the call, not if I hang up on the incoming call.
