With Android 4.1.2, the DROID Bionic is now able to see emoji natively.
Anyone know why or just wonder why Android still can't universally see emoji even in ICS or JB without changing font files? I'm aware that stock ICS and JB have emoji built into their srock messaging app now but why can't all ics see emoji in other apps not just text messaging?

Hello,
I updated my phone yesterday and am now running the jelly bean version. I saw a thread on here that showed all the new emoji's available with jelly bean and had a step-by-step guide.
I am understanding that you can enable emoji through the add on dictionary option under the android keyboard.
What's the best emoji keyboard out? I want something simple to use as in tap a button and it changes straight to the emoji
So I have handcent and the emoji plugin and I am trying to send a text message with a emoji icon to my friend. She has a iPhone on AT&T but she can't seem to see the emoji icons that I send her. They come up as +h03GC/ or something like that for her.
Anyway I can have them show up for her or nope?
Hi guys,
Wanted to share this free app of mine which is a couple of months old now: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...urple.emojidom
Instead of the more "boring" standard emoji you see everywhere, I decided to build a more fun collection with unique images. You can find Black and Asian emoticons here, the "middle finger" emoji, etc.
This does not require root and works with the stock ICS rom.

This is the new 4.2 keyboard with google's version of Swype. It will work on ICS 4.0 or higher.
You can download the APK and put it on your sd card.
Emoji+Unicode support on your Mini!
People use Unicode and emoji on many online games and chat apps. Usually they come up as boxes (squares) on our devices.
So this thread is for people who want to enable Emoji+Unicode support on their devices.
