So, I've been trying to get a kickstart install with Red Hat 6.2 to work, using the package repo on the DVD. As such, I've tried using the following line in my ks.cfg:
repo --name="Red Hat Enterprise Linux" --baseurl=cdrom:sr0 --cost=100
However, that doesn't seem to work. The installer can't find the repo, and the install fails.
I have downloaded a package with .tar.gz extension
now I need to install the package.
Of course apt-get install won work directly as it can't locate the package.
Should i put the package in a certain directory before executing the command ?, Or what should i do?

A) Remove the Java 1.7u6 package (selecting the "allow users to continue to use" option), and add Java 1.7u7?
B) Add Java 1.7u7 and specify that it is an update to the existing 1.7u6 pac
