http://forums.fedoraforum.org – Heya! I'm having a problem. For a school project I need to install a Fedora virtual machine (on VMware Server), setting it up as a server. I am encountering the following problem. When I want to 'yum install dhcp' I get the following error message: Quote: Cannot open/read repomd.xml file for reporisitory: core failure: repodata/repomd.xml from core: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try. Error: failure: repodata/repomd.xml from core: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try. I think the link to the download site is not right. I have checked internet and DNS acces, both are correct and tested.. I have opened the /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-core.repo file, and this is the entry: Quote: [core] name=Fedora Core $releasever - $basearch baseurl=http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/$releasever/$basearch/os/ mirrorlist=http://fedora.redhat.com/download/mirrors/fedora-core-$releasever enabled=1 gpgcheck=1 gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY [core-debuginfo] name=Fedora Core $releasever - $basearch - Debug baseurl=http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/$releasever/$basearch/Debug/ enabled=0 gpgcheck=1 gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY [core-source] name=Fedora Core $releasever - Source baseurl=http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/$releasever/source/SRPMS/ enabled=0 gpgcheck=1 gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY Probably important to say is that im using Fedora Core 5. Thanks in advance! (HowTos)
