I have tried last 3 days to install Pharo Smalltalk 3.0 in a CentOS 6.5 64-bit without success, actually the experience has been quite depressing because no-one seems to provide a clear or definitive answer.
There is no RPM and it seems the folks at Pharo only considered Ubuntu and forgot about all remaining distros.
I have been trying to install CentOS 7 on a computer with no success so far.
I am able to boot the live USB media, but the problem is the CentOS installation referring the HDD always as /dev/sdb. No matter what I do, the live media is always detected as /dev/sda and the HDD as /dev/sdb.
I apologize for all my newb problems/questions. I installed and configured KVM on my server (Centos 6.5). I was able to use Virtual Machine manager locally on the server in the desktop gui and install a working Fedora guest machine.
Now I'm back to my laptop/client machine which is now running Linux Mint 16 (yes I have had about 5 different distros in the past week on my laptop).
Hi. I'm trying to install CentOS 7 under VMWare Workstation 10 or ESXi Server 5.5. Each time I try to install, the GUI image appears to be locked to 640x480 so about a third of the screen is missing. I'm unable to complete things like the LVM configuration as I'm unable to access the on-screen buttons. Is there a workaround to this, please?
