http://forum.xda-developers.com – I thought it would be a good idea to share your Tasker profiles. I recently discovered this app and after 3 years of using Android it feels like Android has a whole bunch of extra features. My profiles are boring really but I'll share anyway. My first profile puts my phone on silent between 2am and 10am. My second profile turns off Bluetooth after 3 minutes of being unpaired. My third and final profile waits until my screen goes off, waits 5 seconds,turns the screen on displays the time on an app called night screen lite (only between 9pm and 11am) What are your Tasker profiles? :) (HowTos)

I know tasker profiles are, that wasnt my question.

Tasker waking phone alot 27 weeks 4 days ago

I have 3 profiles running:

-Turn airplane mode on at night -Turn wifi on when screen on -turn wifi off when screen off

Yet Tasker is waking up my phone an awful lot (26 times in last 40 minutes)

why?

hey i found an article with steps on how to create a nandroid backup automatically via tasker i downloaded the files and imported them into tasker but they dont seem to work. The profiles have a red exclamation mark next to them. Has anyone created a profile to do this?

  It’s no secret that we like things to be simplified and automated if possible— and Tasker for Android allows for us Android folks to make things simplified and automated.

Since I started using CyanogenMod, I have been using the Profiles functionality it includes, which lets me set a bunch of things for a specific profile, including everything sound related as well as things like whether to have WiFi, GPS, mobile data etc. on/off. For example, when I get into my car, I switch to my car profile that turns on GPS and mobile data and turns off WiFi.

Instead of backgrounding all your profiles (which indeed causes race conditions if multiple profiles use the same interface), you can background net-profiles in rc.conf:DAEMONS=(... @net-profiles ...)You'll have the benefits of a backgrounded startup, without the drawbacks of interfering profiles.

Mrs D Mac is transitioning from a Blackberry to an Android, and as any former Blackberry user knows Blackberry Profiles are worlds ahead of anything offered on Android.

So anyways here is what she needs (at a minimum): An app that will Very easily allow her to set a night time profile that will allow calls and texts to ring but Nothing else.
