I have already used recordmydesktop, xvidcap and kazam. My sound working fine with other audio or videos.
xvidcap doesn't record sound at all. I have tried many ways. If I try as: 'padsp xvidcap', it also gives error, like: /dev/dsp cannot found or missing. I have changed it to /dev/snd.
Previously, I used xvidcap to record screencasts in Ubuntu.
I have upgraded to 12.04 LTS (precise) and it seems that xvidcap has been removed from the archive. Any suggestions on a replacement?
Hello:
I have a Logitech G35 Headset. Is the default sound card in my OpenSuse 12.2.
I want to grab the audio that I listen (not the mic) but I can't.
The attached images shows that I can't change the source of Capture.
I love this video recording software. It's the best I've seen for Ubuntu. I seem to be confused though, I record videos perfectly, with great sound playback, and excellent video quality. The only thing I don't like is that when I view the video, not only on my computer and on YouTube, the video and sound aren't synced. As in like the video part goes faster than the sound does.
I'm running FC11, attempting to record from vinyl.
At first I heard no sound so I installed gst-mixer and unmuted "aux" and now I can hear the record playing thru the speakers attached to the sound card.
When I attempt to record the sound using audacity I get silence.
There are a fair number of "recording video" questions, but the slight twist to this one is that all I want to record is the audio of weekly tutoring sessions I'm doing via Google Plus. The video wouldn't be all that useful (I'm learning Django, and my recall rate of what we actually did is pretty high, once I have the audio cue).
