Hello guys,
I want to run some commands at startup, how do I do that?
Using N4 with 4.2.1
When I use the built in screenshot (power button + holding volume down) - the screenshot looks awesome. But when I send it as an mms to my friend (who also has the exact same phone) the picture is significantly degraded.
The same happens when he sends me a screenshot.
Is this an issue with my MMS settings?
I don't see any problem with it. Try disabling screensaver and DPMS and see if your screen still turns off.xset s 0 0; xset dpms 0 0 0; xset -dpmsIf you want to revert your settings back:xset s 600 600; xset dpms 600 0 900More info here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/DPMS

Becoming a bit annoyed here. Using the graphical configuration tool for KDE, I have disabled power management stuff. This is a desktop for my personal use, and I am not interested in monitor blanking. The screen, however, continues to blank.
I have determined that the culprit is DPMS. xset q output shows that DPMS is enabled.
This is the oddest thing I've ever seen. When I take a screenshot of a window or my desktop, I instead receive an older copy of the window or screenshot. What I mean, is that once I take a screenshot using gnome screenshot tool, I will forever get that screenshot when I try and take another. I'm running with the open drivers, under and amd/ati card.

Hello,
I want to disable display power management.
I tried to achieve this by disabling 'Enable display power management' checkbox in the 'Configure Desktop -> Display -> Power Control' KDE configuration dialog.
That didn`t help and display still goes into standby mode after some period of inactivity.
How To Take A Screenshot Of Your Login Screen
Normally you use a screenshot tool to take screenshots of your Linux
desktop. Unfortunately, this doesn't work if you want to take a
screenshot of your login prompt. This tutorial explains how you can take
a screenshot of your Linux desktop login screen nevertheless.
