Chakra just moved to libpng 1.5, so there probably will be an adjustment needed for the PKGBUILD in ccr.Or if you just updated, then ofc you need to rebuild all your ccr apps depending on libpng/libtiff.Focuswriter will need a rebuild for libpng update, will be don
After adding a new ppa to the repository, is it necessary to update the whole database?
Hi, forum fellows.
Here's the deal and reason I'm asking for your help.
I would have thought that the graphical update-manager could be reproduced from the terminal commands:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade -y
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade -y
yet I can run these commands at the terminal and despite seeing lots of things get upgraded then open the gui update-manager immediately afterwards and see that it has a list of updates it wants me to apply. Why is this?
I keep getting this error every time I do sudo apt-get update in the terminal. Also I'm completely incapable of installing anything through the terminal, even after adding the required, up-to-date repository using the add-apt-repository command. Any help will be appreciated.

Hello,
I got blank screen when reboot after I tried to upgrade Ubuntu (64 bit server version) from 11.10 to 12.04 at update manager.
The normal login GUI is missing, but mouse cursor is fine. Then I switched to terminal (tty1 ~ tty6), which looked fine and showed it is Ubuntu 12.04 !
My update manager will not complete an update. Even just one or two items.
sudo apt-get install update-manager-core
/etc/update-manager/release-upgrades
Prompt=normal;
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo do-release-upgrade -d
Follow me so far? Hope so....
