Sigh. Stater r20111125 32-bit. So I've installed thunar-thumbnailers. And ffmpegthumbnailer. Thunar is not showing thumbnails for video files (flv, mp4, mov, 3g). I restarted the machine. Still no thumbnails. This applies to files on an external USB HDD. I copied one of the files to /tmp to check, but no thumbnail is shown even for a video file in /tmp.
I've tried everything I can find, but still can't get video thumbnails in thunar. Tumbler and ffmpegthumbnailers are installed. Thanks.
Somehow the thumbnails of a bunch of JPEG images shown in the file manager got mixed up and now the images shown as thumbnails do not correspond to the actual image in that file.
I get the same problem with gThumb where the thumbnail shown in the bottom row isn't of the picture in the file shown in the main panel.
I'm on Xubuntu 12.04.
I have Thunar installed on my i3 desktop. I also have tumbler and ffmpegthumbnailer. Currently i can't get video thumbnails for .avi and .mkv files. Strangely thumbnails are generated for .mp4 files.
Hello all! I am trying to create a script that will copy files from one location, to another but only folders that are filled with thumbnails to an exact directory replica in the second location.
theres a folder named 'thumbnails' that contains thumbnails of my pics. i downloaded an app that cleans up the android o/s. it asks me if its ok to delete the contents of this folder. if i delete the thumbnails of this folder, will that also delete my pics?
Hello all,I am wondering, how do I disable the caching of image and movie (and any other media) thumbnails. Also, how can I wipe any media thumbnails that have already been created?Kind Regards,Ricky.
Hi and thank you for your time.
I used to have thumbnails for .NEF files inside Ubuntu studio but they seemed to retire this function from the software so I came back to the Ubuntu Unity environment and I want to have NEF thumbnails right inside nautilus, is there a way to install this ?
Hey
I use Slackware 13.1 and browsing with Firefox.
When I browse a site, and there are some image thumbnails which I don't open, are these "un-clicked" thumbnails saved somewhere in my computer after I shut down my system?
Also, even if I actually click a thumbnail to view the image full-size, is this image saved somewhere (like a temp or something) after I turn off my laptop?
Cheers
