Can anyone tell me what the heck is going on?
I install the Nvidia drivers in Xubuntu 13.04, and when I reboot, all of my themes are messed up, and I can't put them back to the way they were.
hi guys, quick question. how do i install nvidia drivers 173 in xubuntu 12.04, either from nvidia site or from x swat ppa? cause in additional drivers section nothing comes up. i'm using a geforce 5600XT and i really don't wanna use the open source drivers. cheers.
I have a Nvidia Geforce GT740m on my Dell vostro 5470. I've been having troubles with graphic drivers. When I use software&updates to seek for additional drivers it'll give me several selections, but only the x-org nouveau driver works properly.
Fresh install of Xubuntu 14.04.1 on a Dell M4800, 2 x 250GB SSDs, 32GM RAM. The display adapter is (per lspci) a "NVIDIA Corporation GK107GLM [Quadro K1100M]".
Default Nouveau drivers were just OK and as I had a lot of display "artifacting", I opted to install the standard NVidia proprietary drivers which are version 331.38 from "Additional Drivers" under "Software and Updates".
I am trying to install some new themes in xubuntu 12.04 and I cannot seem to make them work.
I went into my home/username folder and created a .themes folder and extracted them all there . but they do not show up in the appearance tab in the settings manager.
so after some digging i found the standard themes in usr/share/themes.
But I cannot move my themes folders into the usr/share/thems folder.
Hi, I'm currently unsure as to how I should install nvidia's proprietary drivers on my distro. One method is through nvidia's website itself, the other is through installing certain packages or using the Additional Drivers. The problem is that I couldn't find my graphics driver under 'Additional Drivers', so I made the assumption that my graphics driver was not being used at all.
