I've been having quite a bit of problems with my laptop battery lately. For some reason when it's not plugged in, my computer will automatically shut off without warning with around 50 - 60% charge still left, according to Windows.
Every night, I plug my phone into my laptop to tether (can't seem to get bluetooth to work). Since upgrading to 4.2.1, my phone says it is plugged into USB & Charging but yet it is actually discharging. It seems that it is discharging slowly. I'm thinking that it is charging but not as fast as it is using the power.
Hi all,
So I went to charge my Dinc2; the orange charger light popped on, but when I looked at the battery widget, I noticed that the battery was not charging.
I walked away from the phone for a little bit, turned the phone back on, and received this message,
"Battery Is low. The charging current is not enough for device power consumption.
My Asus Eee Pc 1225C has gotten issues with the battery since I downloaded a set of updates for Lubuntu 12.10 some two weeks back. The major issue is that the battery will no recharge at all when the laptop is sleeping, for example with the lid down, but when it is on or completely shut down it charges the battery no problem.
Hi,
I've just installed Xubuntu 12 on my laptop and I've couple of problems with xfce4-power-manager 1.0.11.
I'm having a problem with my Samsung Galaxy S3 (rooted, but no custom ROM) through AT&T where it's losing battery power at a much higher rate than normal every once in a while.
Specifically, today, I was using the GPS feature and charging it in my car, and yet, even though it said it was charging, the battery continued to lose charge.
On my old laptop the battery is for all purposes dead. Therefore my computer is constantly plugged in. As a consequence I now have a osd-notify telling me every 10 seconds that "Xfce power manager: you battery is fully charged", and then "your battery is now charging".Is there any way I can control which notifications get send to osd-notify?
My laptop is Lenovo T400, and OS is Ubuntu 12.04.
I have not been able to adjust the thresholds for battery starting charging and stopping charging. I observed that its current starting charging threshold is about 40%, and stopping charging threshold is about 60%. I forgot if it was me and which program I used to control the battery to stop charging at 60% and start charging at 40%.
The battery on the indicator-power only displays two status icons when is charging: empty (regardless of the power level that it still maintains) and full (just when it is finally loaded).
However, It is funny that this one does not come about when the battery is discharging (according to how much power left, the status icon is different for 100% - 80% - 60% - 40% - 20% -0% power levels).
