Hello,
I am unable to make Wifi work on my Ubuntu laptop.
Here is the relevant info:
1 ) Machine Brand and Model (PC/Laptop):
Laptop HP EliteBook 8460p
2 ) Wireless Brand, Model and Wireless Chipset:
Code:
$ lspci -nn | grep -i Net

Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205

Hi,Recently I installed Arch Linux on my Thinkpad X220, and everything seems to be fine hardware-wise, except the fact that my WiFi card (Intel Wireless-N 6250) cannot connect at wireless-N speeds.
Hi,I'm trying to create an AdHoc network from my laptop so my phone can connect to it and use it as a source for an Internet connection.
Wireless was working great until I upgraded from 10.04 LTS to 12.04 LTS.
It sort of seemed I'd needed to rename the device from eth1 to wlan0, but maybe was another laptop. Anyhow, I tried that, and went from a quick boot that could see the AP but would not connect to a 2-3 minute boot with no network config. Obviously, I switched back to eth1. Now I just still cannot connect.
Lenovo T410
Code:
/sbin/lspci |grep Network
00:19.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82577LM Gigabit Network Connection (rev 06)
03:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Centrino Advanced-N 6200 (rev 35)
I assume the second entry is my wireless nic.
The issue I am having is that it can be rather slow at bringing wireless up, much slower than my Windows laptop (T520).
I am trying to connect to the wireless network at my university which uses PEAP with MSCHAPV2 encryption. For some reason networkmanager is able to connect just fine, but wicd gets stuck at "Validating Authentication..." I would much prefer to use wicd over networkmanager, so im hoping to be able to get to the bottom of this.Any ideas?
I recently installed Intel Corporation Centrino Advanced-N 6235 (rev 24) on my Lenovo x220 tablet. The wireless is working fine, however bluetooth is not detected (intel 6235 comes with bluetooth 4.0).
Has anyone had success with this or simillar card?
Hi Everyone,I've previously had #! running on Lenovo T400 with no problems and loved it.
