I've recently installed Ubuntu 12.04 on my computer. Now, every time I boot and when I shut down, my monitor goes blank and says "Input Signal Out of Range - Change Setting to 1920x1080 60Hz." Once the computer gets to the login screen, it's okay again. This problem also happens when I try to open any 3d app. My graphics card is NVIDIA GEforce 6150 SE.
I am trying to install Fedora 18 on my server which is a dual core opteron system with a gig of ram and on board video. When I boot. I see "starting grub" then monitor reports that the signal is out of range. If I try to boot from a live disk, it goes out of range. What do I do? I've googled around and seen lots of people saying to change different config files but how?
Since Ubuntu 11.04 Natty, after a fresh Ubuntu installation on my desktop PC, the monitor starts into ‘input signal out of range Change Settings to **x** 60HZ’.
The problem can be fixed by reset the Grub screen resolution ratio.
I recently installed Ubuntu 12.04 onto my HP Pavilion, in an attempt to make the desktop able to dual-boot Windows 7 and Ubuntu. I managed to get down to the last step, and finished the installation process.
New drive to go into machine. Just one. I want to triple boot again only all Xubuntu 12.04 as primary, Xubuntu 12.04 as experimental, and Xubuntu as next.
I want to have grub installed to all.
Hi!
I'm facing the following problem.
Recently, by some reasons I changed my hardware from Intel 82865G to
Intel 82G33/G31 Express Integrated Graphics Controller.
And when I try to boot into Fedora15+Gnome3 (updated from F14 with preupgrade in graphic mode) even in single user mode or runlevel 3 (by editing corresponding "kernel-" line in grub.conf) I see the message
"Sig
I have a dual boot setup with xp on one hd and ubuntu on a second hd. I recently upgraded to 10.04 and started getting the message on my monitor saying "input signal out of range". I searched on how to fix this and was advised to do this: " sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver -xorg " and this unfortunately screwed up my boot options and would no longer go into ubuntu.
Just did a clean install of Xubuntu 12.04 amd64 on a new Western Digital wd30ezrx 3TB hard disk - no errors during install.
Namely that after installing Ubuntu 12.04 and going to log in, I am met with a frozen slate of a desktop in which nothing loads (at longest I've sat for 30 minutes, reading, whilst nothing changes) and only the mouse moves.
Its not a blank screen, its the desktop that one is normally greeted with, just with nothing loaded.
So far I've tried http://askubuntu.com/questions/15715...-12-04-upgrade
