I tried to start the Xfce Terminal through the menu, however every I get an error box with this message:
Failed to execute default Terminal Emulator.
Input/output error.
This is strange as I've never had this error before, and haven't done anything on my system that would affect the terminal.

I have a backup script on start up with cuttlefish. I set it on "Run in terminal" but I want to hide the terminal on start up. I also have the terminal in the start up applications. How do I hide the back up terminals (2) but keep my "main" terminal still visible?
Thanks.

Just today I've noticed that both Terminator and xfce4-terminal show a pronounced lag between keystrokes and response on my netbook. Neither xterm nor the gettys display this sluggish behavior, and most GUI apps run the same as they always have.Anyone know what package might be causing the slow behavior on these terminal emulators? I remember this happened in a Statler Sid setup a
I have a running log, it outputs a lot to the terminal. Unfortunately, when I try to scroll up and view older output, it appears there is a limit. And I am unable to scroll past a certain point. On the Mac, the terminal allows you to scroll up to the start of the session. Is there a way to do this in ubuntu terminal?
How to reset Xfce session?
When I start Xfce4, it always opens 2 windows of Evince, Emacs and one terminal emulator. I remember I used this configuration once a week ago, but now it starts every time after logging in. How can I make Xfce4 start cleanly with no applications?
