[xubuntu] How can I maximixe my laptop battery uasge, considering my location?

http://ubuntuforums.org – I have just got a new 9-cell laptop battery to replace my old 6-cell battery which last for just 15 minutes after less than 2 years of buying it. I live in a country where electricity supply is erratic (Nigeria). Can someone advise me how best to use these two batteries to maximize their usage considering my location and hoping the new battery won’t suffer the same fate as the old one. ____________________________________________ hp laptop battery,cheap hp laptop battery (Hardware)

i have been hearing these 2 things about laptop battery usage:

I have a bluetooth mouse connected to my laptop.

Much to my delight (I posted the suggestion!) the mouses battery is now displayed along side the laptop's battery.

Unfortunately is is named simply "battery" in the drop down and "Laptop battery" once the power statistics windows is opened.

I just bought new battery and it's my 3rd time buying my ac adapter. my ac adapter always get extremly hot and when my laptop battery is going low it take about 2 hours to charge it back up to 100%. Usually it takes less thant 40 minute to charge it back to full charge. Anyone knows what's wonrg.

Right now the power statistics show that:

Energy when full: 25.5 Wh Energy (design): 93.2 Wh

And indeed the battery doesn't seem to be lasting as long as it used too.

My question: Is this data reliable?

Hi, I have a friend that his laptop uses windows 7 32bit OS and recently his battery has an error message. saying something that he needs to replace his battery.

I played around with it. I took the power cord off and kept the laptop one. it went from 100% full to 75% then to 65% and I plugged the cord back in when it went to 55%.

My original PE is less that a month and a year old and the battery seems to be noticeably deteriorating. Is this what others are experiencing?

I use it pretty much daily and recharge it daily.
