We are pleased to bring you the first set of developer images that capture the current fleeting reality of our Precise Pangolin (Ubuntu 12.04 Alpha 1) as it starts to emerge. Pre-releases of Precise Pangolin are *not* encouraged for anyone needing a stable system or anyone who is not comfortable running into occasional, even frequent breakage.

I have installed Ubuntu Precise Pangolin Alpha release (Daily build dated 20-Feb-2012) and have been upgrading it regularly since then. Now I can see that beta release is available.

So I just want to know what is the difference between Alpha release with regular updates and the new beta release.

I've had Xubuntu 12.04 alpha 1 installed as a guest in VirtualBox since its release and I must say I've had no issues at all with it other than an early problem with gmusicbrowser which someone here helped me resolve. It's a very different experience than I've had with other alphas.

According to the original release schedule, Ubuntu 11.10 Alpha 2 was supposed to be released on 30th June. The release date was missed and now, it has been revealed that the second alpha of Ubuntu 11.10 will be released on 7th July.

Has anyone tried installing Fedora 19 alpha RC4 (which is alpha) as a dual boot with xubuntu? Anaconda, for some reason, does not recognize the large hard drive I have for Fedora as a valid space if I have xubuntu installed.
